2004-073 - December 2, 2004 - Pine Valley Road, Williams Township - Dispatched with Station 28 for an engine crew to assist at a ruptured gas line. 2311 responded with a crew and were ordered to stage at Congressional Drive and Cedarville Road. Once the gas was shut off they were released by 28 Command.
2004-074 - December 6, 2004 - 139 Spring Street - Dispatched for a dwelling fire. 2311 responded with a crew of 4 and found flames coming from a second story window. Attack crew utilized a smooth bore 1 3/4" handline to knock down the fire on the second floor. They then started up to the attic and after the roof was ventilated by 2721 the fire was knocked down there as well. Crews from Wilson 2412 assisted with overhaul and Bethlehem Township 1711, who had moved into Palmer Station 2, was moved to the scene to assist with manpower. The fire was contained to the original room of origin and the attic area above. There was smoke and heat damage to the other second floor rooms and minor water damage on the first floor front room. Assisting agencies were, Palmer Station 27 (2711, 2713, 2721 with 12 firefighters) Wilson Station 24 (2412 with 7 firefighters) Bethlehem Township Station 17 (1711 with 6 firefighters) and Williams Township Station 28 (2811 with 5 firefighters moved up to station 23).View Photos
2004-075 - December 8, 2004 - 519 Iron Street, Wilson Borough - Dispatched with EMS Station 27 for an assist with a 47 year old male fall victim that was conscious but not breathing. 2311 responded with a crew of 3 and provided patient care until EMS arrived and then assisted with packaging the patient. The call was on the Wilson Borough side of Iron Street and we were dispatched mistakenly by Northampton County Radio.
2004-076 - December 9, 2004 - I-78 Eastbound at the Delaware River Bridge, Williams Township - Dispatched with Station 28 for an auto accident with rollover. 2312 with a crew 5 was ordered to hold at station based on information from a portable unit from another organization that was on scene with a self extricated class 3 patient. Upon arrival of 28 Command 2312 was cancelled.
2004-077 - December 9, 2004 - 88 Jefferson Street - Dispatched for an odor investigation. 2311 responded with a crew of 4 and found that a car warming up nearby sent an odor into the residence.
2004-078 - December 14, 2004 - The Home Depot, 751 South 25th Street, Palmer Township - Station 27 was dispatched for an Automatic Fire Alarm. Police arrived on scene and reported water flowing form the sprinkler. 27 Command requested we be dispatched. 2311 responded with a crew of 5 and 2312 responded with a crew of 4. 2311 was staged in the front with 27's crews and 2312 was sent to the rear by the sprinkler room. Investigation found a faulty sprinkler system. The sprinkler company was notified and all crews were released.
2004-079 - December 19, 2004 - I-78 Westbound at Mile 72.9, Williams Township - Dispatched with Station 28 for an auto accident with an unconscious person. 2312 with a crew 6 was cancelled enroute by 28 Command.
2004-080 - December 19, 2004 - I-78 Westbound at Mile 73.4, Williams Township - Dispatched with Station 28 for an auto accident. 2312 was about to respond when cancelled by 28 Command.
2004-081 - December 20, 2004 - 301 Waterford Court, Williams Township - Dispatched with Station 28 for a water flow alarm. 2311 responded with a crew of 5 and was ordered to stage at Cedarville Road & Congressional Drive and were then cancelled.
2004-082 - December 21, 2004 - 620 Royal Manor Road, Williams Township - Station 28 dispatched for a dwelling fire. In that part of their area Reigellsville (Bucks County Station 42) is automatically dispatched. 2855 was advised by Northampton County Radio that a neighbor reported smoke coming form the roof and second story windows. On that information he requested a full response from Bucks 42, an engine from Station 23, and the first 5 tankers on the tanker task force. First in Engine crew was able to quickly knock down the fire. 28 Command then ordered 2312, responding with a crew 7, to divert to Station 28-1 and cover their district, recalled the tanker task force and had Bucks 42 continue their response to assist in overhaul. 2312 stood by at station 28-1 for 2 hours before being released.
2004-083 - December 23, 2004 - United Pipe & Steel, 42 Adamson Street - Dispatched for a water flow alarm. 2311 responded with a crew of 3 and found that a water pipe had burst causing a pressure drop that activated the alarm.
2004-084 - December 23, 2004 - United Pipe & Steel, 42 Adamson Street - Dispatched for an audible alarm sounding. Update from Northampton County Radio was that the business at 40 Adamson Street called reported hearing a loud bell sounding for over 5 minutes. 2311 responded with a crew of 2 and found tthe alarm coming from the same location as the earlier call. Investigation found that a water pipe on another sprinkler riser had burst causing a pressure drop that activated the alarm again.
2004-085 - December 24, 2004 - Berger Road & Deihl Road, Williams Township - Dispatched with Station 28 for an accident with entrappment. 2312 responding with a crew of 4 when all units were cancelled by 2856 on scene reporting a disabled vehicle.
2004-086 - December 27, 2004 - Lawnhurst Avenue area, Palmer Township - Dispatched with Station 27 for a possible structure fire. 2311 responded with a crew of 5 but was cancelled enroute. Investigation found that a motorist on nearby PA Rt. 22 saw a fire to the north of the highway between the 13th Street and 25th Street exits. It turned out to be a stack that continually burns off at a local factory reflecting off of building windows.
