Bill joined the Fire Company on May 15, 1955.
Since joining he has served as Assistant Fire Chief in the early 1960's, and Fire Chief from 1963 to 1992, retiring after 29 years and is still active. He is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Relief Association.
He has served on many committees over the years, most notably the Building Committee for the current fire station, both additions to the social hall and Truck Committees for the Mack, 2341 and 2311. He is also the Secretary of the Northampton County Fire Chief's Association and Chairman of the Emergency Services Advisory Committee at Northampton Community College.
He has many courses of training in Firefighting, Investigation, Hazardous Materials, CPR, AED, Emergency Vehicle Operations and Pump Operations.
Bill has a wife Ruth, daughters Barbara and Jennifer and sons William Jr. and Thomas.
He is retired from IBM and Eastman Kodak.
